With salary ranging from $ 18,500 - $ 35,000 per year, working as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or Home Health Aide can be very tempting. Plus, it has been widely circulated with news and rumors on various forums and some blogs that by signing up for an online CNA program you can get certification quickly and easily. But, is that true? Perhaps you are wondering are there any specific schools in your state that offer online CNA classes. Maybe you also ask, "how do I take CNA course without high school diploma?" or, "Does it state approved?".

Well, through this Hub I will give well researched information and answered FAQs (frequently asked questions) about CNA Classes. Make sure you read my hub carefully and give me your feedback, so i can always add more necessary information.

Why choose an online course? I'm sure many of you already know the advantages that you can get if you attend online classes. Cheap, flexible in terms of time and most importantly it is a hands-off training. Simply sit in front of your favorite laptop, use your fingers to follow the given tests and done. Sounds great right?

So, Where and how to find CNA/Home Health Aide online class? I have been getting a lot of information from various sites and blogs, most of them provide the information less useful and not described in detail. In general, many of the bloggers or writers encourage you to find available online CNA courses on search engines, ask your friend who works as a CNA, or visit the schools or universities are accredited in your state and ask if they offer CNA training course online. Some classes may give you videos streaming, you need to download them and watch some demonstration of basic or advance nursing skills and some proper techniques when helping patient. There are also online CNA programs that send students to follow other practical training in health facilities in your state, before taking the CNA certification exam. Usually this online certification program takes about four weeks and you must see your local state's requirements for the certification. There also some people suggest you that look for information in the National League for nursing accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

At that time I believe that online CNA classes really exist and not a scam. Maybe some of you also feel the same, but after I explored and doing a little research, I realized that the information that I have mentioned earlier is not entirely correct (I’m not saying everything is false). Below I will give the real facts and information about the Home Health Aide/CNA classes that I wrote with FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) format:

I want to get certificate as a CNA, but I’m very busy (have a full-time job). Is there a hands-off CNA certification program?

No, no, no and no!! You can’t find any hands-off CNA certification. To become as a CNA you need to take practical hands-on CNA exam. The Certified Nurse Aide certification can be obtained through program or training provided at several nursing homes in any state as well as many vocational schools and high schools. Take a look for an accredited CNA program near you or just contact local colleges to find more detail information. Alternatively, you can check the local hospital and see if they have any resources for CNA classes or Training Programs. Most Nursing Homes or hospitals have their own CNA training programs. You can also visit this site and use their search widget to find CNA or Home Health Aide program. To learn the detail about the schedule and cost of the training, you must request more info and fill your information.

How about CNA programs at night?

Sure, there are CNA programs with night class. However, NOT AT EVERY COLLEGE. You can type in Google "night class cna programs" Or look and make a contact with state colleges and communities in your area, see if they have night class or not.

How to find CNA classes in my area, via internet (online)?

Just type in "CNA classes" and "your state" for an online search. You can also contact your technical college or local vocational school. You may find rubbish information in google serach results. Please take a look carefully for every sites that give free information. Currently, i only trust information from Government sites and online-cna-classes.org

Are all online classes or online schools that offer Home Health Aides/CNA program in are really accredited?

Beware, most of them are scams. I know exactly, online CNA classes are exist. But, You should know clearly that when you are taking care of your patient you couldn't do it from home, right? You need to spend your time to attending the classes. I'd never see anyone can become a CNA without hands-on nursing skills.

Becoming a CNA involves learning to do various procedures on patients. And of course, even students of online course need to attend clinic or hospital to learn nursing skills. This usually involves practicing and training on each other and then eventually on real patients. The benefit of online course is only the flexible schedule. You must not easily trust an online university unless you had done a lot of detail research on them and had heard of them before from someone you well-known. If you really want to enroll in online CNA program, i suggest you to find accredited online schools which offer CNA classes by using the search widget at online-cna-classes.org. Request more info on listed schools that have Home Health Aide/CNA program, to know their programs are already state approved or not.

Depending on your state guidelines, several hospitals at your state will pay for your training and certification. But, I've found in Australia or maybe some other country, the majority of their study is via online. There are less that usual face-to-face study and lecturing. Except for practical studies where you live-in, you must spend your time for a week or two for it and also working in nursing homes and local hospitals as a practical experience.

I'm a single mom with three kids. I want to take legit online CNA courses because I think it's best for my family.

I swear there are no hands-off CNA courses. Generally, Vocational Schools provide these courses and some care centers, hospitals, etc. They will provide students with OJT training. Then, you have to practice proper lifting procedures, practice replacing beds with patients in it, feeding and bathing patients. At online-cna-classes.org, they have list pf accredited online schools. Go check it out by yourself! you just need to request info to that schools to find their CNA programs are already approved by your state or not.

I really want to become a certified Nursing Assistant and being able to make decent money to support myself.

You should go for RN or LPN. You will earn bigger salary if you become RN or LPN. A CNA usually work in nursing homes. They are helping only with feeding, cleaning and patient care. Registered Nurses can work at hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, lab work, patient care, medical transcription, etc. LPN's can work at the same areas by doing more extensive patient care.

Are there any free CNA classes or courses available at Arizona?

Yes, there are quite a few hospitals and nursing homes at Arizona offer free nurse aide training classes to perform certain student who meets criteria. Not only Arizona, but in any other states as well.

Based on all information that I've found above, I recommend that you stay away from any places that offer hands-off CNA certification. It is very risky and potentially scams! I am sure that there are accredited schools or universities that offer online nursing programs, but you wouldn't have a truly hands-off 100% online test and training for certification. So, if you really want to become a certified nurse assistant, you should look for trusted and accredited CNA classes (not online).

In Florida, students may challenge the CNA state exam without formal education. 4YourCNA.com is an online training program that prepares the student for that exam in an online format. The program is free, but students must purchase a supply kit to ensure they are practicing the skill demonstrated by the RN in the program. This program is extremely comprehensive and NOT a scam. Many people have used this method to prepare for, and pass, the state exam. Please visit this website and review the free skills to examine the content and quality!

I am so frustrated and now concerned when it comes to me providing all my personal information, to find that there are NO CNA classes or schools. Of course now I am receiving an unbelievable number of calls and emails, trying to convince me that I really should join their (often) expensive (much more than a CNA program, I'm sure!!) organization. I have been spending the last couple of weeks searching for a legitimate site that gives me real CNA course requirements, and classes. Now I am afraid to trust any site out there as everything I've trusted to date has totally let me down. Your site sounded like maybe a place I could trust, but then I saw that AGAIN, I need to supply all my information so that I can then be forwarded to the same bogus websites (with NO CNA Classes, Programs solely!) I have been fooled by already. Where can I go to really provide me with REAL CNA program information!! I simply am trying to better myself as I look into what I consider a position that I can feel good about.

Hi Carrie Maechler, at online-cna-classes.org you can use their search widget to find CNA/Home Health Aide classes.

if you can't find school which offer CNA or Home Health Aide program in search results page, you don't have to provide your information.

The last time i use the search widget, i found an online school which have Home Health Aide (CNA) program. I think people must know that the results for CNA program after using the search widget will vary.

Some schools closed their CNA program class at near of the month, while other schools may not accept CNA students anymore.

Well done fro providing an unusually enlightening post on the many scams that are being perpetrated. In reality, the best training is that which can be had free under various departmental programs. Everyone who wants the training should get affordable (at worst) access.
